Axmar Brygga Seaside Restaurant - A unique fish restaurant with conference and banquet facilities overlooking the pristine archipelago of the Baltic Sea. Located at the border between Gästrikland and Hälsingland, just 10 minutes from the E4 highway between Gävle and Söderhamn. In the middle of Sweden, by the sea!
Founded in 1671, Axmar bruk is a culturally significant place. The old slagstone building in the harbor, housing the restaurant, conference, and banquet halls, was used to store iron bars and grains from the 1870s to the early 1900s.
Here, guests from near and far can enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the untouched archipelago environment with rich birdlife and wildlife. We offer a unique blend of coastal atmosphere and a versatile menu featuring fish, seafood, meat, game, and vegetarian options.

The restaurant in the old slag stone building in the harbor also features conference and banquet facilities. Each year, over 50,000 guests from near and far enjoy the fantastic panoramic view and a seasonally adapted menu with fish, seafood, meat, game, and vegetarian options.
On our upper floor, the warehouse, there are two conference rooms; the Berndt von Schinkel room which accommodates 60 people and the Brita Behm room which accommodates 14 people. We have invested in modern conference equipment including large screen and surround sound system.
Outside Axmar Brygga, there is much to see, do, and discover in the culturally and historically interesting and scenic Axmar bruk. It is Gästrikland's only cultural reserve and also a nature reserve. Here, there are hiking, cycling, and paddling trails, as well as digital guidance available.
